Mini Grant Program

Helping our neighbors recover, rebuild, and stay strong

The Barrier Island Strong Mini Grant provides up to $500 in assistance for individuals, families, community groups, and small businesses on Florida's barrier islands.

Eligibility Overview

Mini-Grants are available to individuals, families, community groups, and small businesses located on or serving Florida's barrier islands in Pinellas County. All applicants must have a demonstrated recovery or hardship need related to storms, flooding, or other qualifying events.

Individuals & Families

Residents facing storm damage or financial hardship may apply for assistance with essential personal or household needs. Grants may help with small repairs, temporary living needs, replacement of essentials, or similar recovery-related expenses. Renters and displaced residents are eligible.

Community Groups

Local community groups may apply for small-scale recovery efforts that benefit barrier island residents, restore shared spaces, or support neighborhood recovery.

Small Businesses

Small businesses may request funds if the support helps restore essential operations that directly serve the local community after a hardship or disaster. Eligible uses must be tied to storm damage, lost essential equipment, or recovery needs.
